Currently, Blush Bakery by Kate is a home-based business operating under South Dakota Cottage Food Production requirements. This means that I don’t have a storefront and all treats are custom-made-to-order for pickup (or delivery) from my personal home address. I’m located on the east side of Sioux Falls, SD and the exact address will be given to you upon confirmation of your order.

Generally, about 3 weeks in advance for birthdays and smaller orders is a safe bet. I would love to be able to make desserts for every person that asks! But as a single-employee business, I have some limitations and short notice orders (less than 1 week) are typically not feasible.

For weddings and larger orders, feel free to reach out about 5-6 months in advance or schedule a tasting to try some cupcakes in the meantime if your event is even further out. At this time, I’m unable to book orders further than 6 months in advance.

Most of the items on my menu can be made in a version that is “friendly” to certain dietary restrictions and made without ingredients such as gluten, dairy, eggs, etc. Please note that I am unable to guarantee any item is officially “free” from any of these ingredients as I work with them daily, but I do whatever I can to avoid cross-contamination. Contact me for specific questions regarding flavors and items that are available.

Unfortunately at this time, I’m unable to accommodate orders for nut allergies. I work with peanut butter and nuts frequently, and am unable to guarantee zero cross-contamination for severe intolerances.

After confirming your order, you will receive an email with an online Square invoice. This can be paid with credit or debit cards or ACH bank transfers. Payments via cash or check are also accepted, but must be received at least 5 days before your pickup date. Venmo payments are currently unaccepted.

All orders must be paid for in full 5 days in advance of your pickup date. Your order is only confirmed upon payment of your invoice. Cash or check payment for invoices totaling more than $200 is preferred, or they will incur a 3.5% credit card processing fee when paying online.

Yes! Delivery is available in Sioux Falls for an additional charge based on mileage. Please contact me for availability and specific quotes.

For larger orders and dessert displays, setup at your venue may also be available for an additional charge. Setup availability may depend on your event schedule. I do not currently have stands available to rent, but there are multiple rental companies in town that do!

Firstly, congratulations! In order to officially book, a wedding/event contract must be signed and a non-refundable deposit must be received (see more info on this here). Feel free to reach out about 6 months in advance if you’re ready to book, or schedule a tasting if your event is even further out.

Yes! Blush Bakery by Kate is a registered business with liability insurance coverage. I’ve catered at many of the large venues in Sioux Falls, so rest assured there should be no issues.
